Nutrition Education and Promoting Healthy Behaviors to Prevent Chronic Conditions
This session will present papers that will identify the procedure for a participatory analysis of school policies regarding healthy eating habits and physical activity, components of heart disease and stoke prevention programs implemented in local health departments and the policy implications of nutrition standards.
Learning Objectives: Participants will be able to identify the: 1) procedure for a participatory analysis of school policies regarding healthy eating habits and physical activity; 2)components of heart disease and stoke prevention programs implemented in local health departments and 3)policy implications of nutrition standards.
