Healthy Communities
Health educators strive to build bridges to communities and community members. The speakers in this session will describe several programs that use innovative practices to build community partnerships. The speakers in this session will describe several programs that use techniques such as intergenerational education, train-the-trainer, interactive theatre, and a brown bag lunch forum to build bridges to community members.
Learning Objectives: At the conclusion of the session, the participant (learner) in this session will be able to: 1. Identify strategies for building effective community partnerships. 2. Describe the use of innovative techniques to build bridges to community members and improve the health of the public.
