The challenge of achieving service delivery at a large scale is one that has been a constant challenge for health planners and policy makers. This is very much the case for complex elements of service delivery such as the provision of essential medicines. In this session we look at the underlying challenges of getting medicines to more people and what this means at a global and a country level. We conclude with presenting an analysis that makes it clear that scaling up is not simply about doing small things bigger, but about taking innovative approaches. | |||
