The Podiatric section of the American Public Health Association invites the submission of abstracts for individual paper presentation and/or poster session for the 135th Annual Meeting to be held in Washington, DC, November 3-7, 2007. Abstracts from members of this and other sections, students and new professionals are encouraged. Topics may include, but are not limited to the following:
- Diabetic Foot Management - The result of Diabetic foot conditions on public health care and management of said conditions to improve health care
- Obestiy and Related Foot Conditions - Why obesity management is so important in treatment of several types of foot conditions and the relationship between obesity and foot pathology
- Pediatric Foot Conditions and Outcomes With Treatment - Examine pediatric podiatric pathologies and their outcomes with treatment and the overall affect on quality of life of a child as they grow into adulthood
- Podiatry and Its Role in Exercise - How proper foot care can impact exercise and overal health
- Preventative Foot Care and Its Effect on Public Health - How can simple preventative foot care play an important role in public health care and what kind of outcome studies can be used to document the benefit of preventative foot care
The abstract submission deadline is February 5, 2007.
