MENU-AIDDs stands for Materials Supporting Education and Nutrition for Adults with Intellectual or Developmental Disabilities. It is a health promotion program that provides nutritional supports to adults with intellectual or developmental disabilities (I/DD) living in group homes in the community and the staff who provide direct support to them. This session is an opportunity to review the MENU-AIDDs program materials and the training curriculum. The evaluation data from a pilot study and initial statewide dissemination of MENU-AIDDs will be summarized and presented. Initial testing of MENU-AIDDs shows use of the program in DD group homes improves weight status, gastrointestinal health, and foods planned and available in the homes after eight weeks (pilot study) and 6 months (state dissemination).
