The Minnesota Organization on Adolescent Pregnancy, Prevention and Parenting (MOAPPP) is a statewide nonprofit organization working to develop and strengthen policies and programs that promote adolescent sexual health, prevent adolescent pregnancy and support adolescent parents. MOAPPP is one of nine state organizations, three national organizations and four regional training sites participating in the Center for Disease Control and Prevention's (CDC) Promoting Science-Based Approaches to Preventing Teen Pregnancy (PSBA) cooperative agreement. Use of the CDC's PSBA framework at a local level will be discussed, including a review of the selection process used to choose local partner organizations. The important role that policy makers, funders, schools and youth-focused organizations can play in preventing teen pregnancy, the strength of strong partnerships, and the importance of flexibility and creativity will be highlighted.

2. Understand how CDC’s science-based approaches to teen pregnancy prevention framework can be applied at a local level
