The purpose of this presentation is to identify and review the type of data collected by the Division of Vital Statistics of the National Center for Health Statistics. Participants will also learn ways of applying the collected data to their individual research interests.

Learning Objectives:
List two examples of the type of data collected through the National Vital Statistics System and two examples of how vital statistics data can be used for public health decision-making.
