The Healthy People 2010 objectives on Health Communication include Objective 11-5:“increase the number of centers for excellence that seek to advance the research and practice of health communication”. This objective has been met. As the end of the decade approaches, it is future role of health communication and informatics research.
Objective/Purpose: These eight centers' representatives will, in a roundtable format, discuss their current research, identify some of the advances and challenges that have occurred since Communicating Health was published in 2003 and consider the future role of health communication and informatics research.
