At the National Council for Science and the Environment's Integrating Environment and Human Health Conference (http://ncseonline.org/2007conference/), a session was devoted to explore the most effective ways to improve health professionals' environmental health knowledge. The session participants outlined a range of strategies and activities for integrating environmental health into health professionals' education and clinical practice. This presentation will summarize these recommendations and provide examples of successful implementation of similar strategies, such as the National Environmental Education Foundation's Health Care Provider Initiative (www.neefusa.org).

Learning Objectives:
1) Articulate the recommendations made by the conference participants for increasing environmental knowledge of health professionals. 2) Describe successful programs. 3) Identify ways to replicate these strategies.
