This session will describe a community-based approach to teaching medical students the fundamentals of health promotion and disease prevention.

Learning Objectives:
Describe a service-learning methodology for teaching the principles of community health needs assessment and evidence-based health promotion. Utilize the concept of community-as-patient to teach health promotion to medical students and physicians.
