Cheryll Lesneski, DrPH , Associate Professor, The University of Southern Mississippi, Hattiesburg, MS
This module will introduce practitioners of local public health agencies (LPHAs) to a set of financial indicators developed to track changes in their financial condition. The use of financial indicators can assist LPHAs to identify emerging financial problems in time to take action; identify existing problems that are not obvious to the agency's staff; develop solutions to deal with identified problems; and project future funding needs.

Learning Objectives:
Recognize a set of financial indicators for use in LPHAs. List major categories of financial indicators. Review financial indicators populated by data from LPHAs. Develop financial ratios.
