This session will highlight how the work of the National Board of Public Health Examiners (NBPHE)may help to align the goals and interests of academia and practice by ensuring that one portion of the future workforce--graduates of CEPH accredited Schools of Public Health and Graduate Public Health Programs--are better prepared to protect and improve the health of the public. Specifically, it will highlight the key shared goals and impact this effort must achieve to protect the public's health by assuring academic rigor as well as evidence-based public health practice.

Learning Objectives:
Describe the shared and unique goals of the academic and practice communities as they relate to credentialing graduates of CEPH accredited Schools of Public Health and Graduate Public Health Programs.
