Biographical Sketch: Dr. Yan Zhang, Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Division of Health Services Research and Management, Department of Family and Community Medicine, at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. She received her doctorate in health services research at Old Dominion University College of Health Sciences and her pre-doctoral education was completed at Beijing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine and China Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Dr. Zhang’s research is focused on health services research, targeting vulnerable populations of the elderly, women and minorities. She is also an active acupuncturist practicing in Texas Tech Physician clinic.
