Biographical Sketch: Thomas A. Arcury, Ph.D., is Professor and Vice Chair for Research in the Department of Family and Community Medicine, Wake Forest University School of Medicine. He is also Director of the Center for Worker Health at Wake Forest University School of Medicine. He received his PhD in Cultural Anthropology in 1983 from the University of Kentucky. Since 1996, he has collaborated in a program of community-based participatory research with immigrant farmworkers and poultry processing workers and their families focused on occupational and environmental health and justice.
