Biographical Sketch: Dr. Carole Upshur is a licensed psychologist and Professor of Family Medicine and Community Health at University of Massachusetts Medical School. She has had over 30 years of experience developing and evaluating intervention programs in mental health, education, and primary health care for disadvantaged populations. Her current work, funded by NIMH and NIAAA, involves developing primary prevention for early childhood behavioral issues and developing models for integrating behavioral health and substance abuse treatment in primary health care settings.
