Biographical Sketch: Betty Kaiser earned her PhD in nursing from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and is currently a postdoctoral fellow with the Center for Patient-Centered Interventions at the UW-Madison School of Nursing. Her research interests include social and environmental influences on health behaviors, community-based approaches for promoting physical activity and healthy diets, and participatory research. Her dissertation research examined perceived influences on physical activity and diet in a low-income, ethnically diverse, rural population. Dr. Kaiser is currently working with partners in several Wisconsin communities to plan environmental interventions to support healthy lifestyles.
