Biographical Sketch: Dr. Fox is Assistant Professor in the Department of Health Policy and Management at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public health. She teaches Methods in Quantitative Risk Assessment featuring probabilistic exposure assessment methods as part of the Johns Hopkins Risk Sciences and Public Policy Institute’s Certificate Program. Dr. Fox’s research is focused on quantitative human health risk assessment as a part of environmental policy making, particularly approaches to cumulative and chemical mixtures risk assessment.
Dr. Fox received her PhD in Environmental and Occupational Health Policy from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health in 2001. Her doctoral thesis examined the links between exposure to mixtures of air toxics and mortality in South and Southwest Philadelphia.
Dr. Fox began her public health career conducting community health studies around hazardous waste sites as a Research Scientist in the New York State Department of Health.
