Biographical Sketch: Dr. Patrick Bohan is an Associate Professor of Environmental Health Science. Dr. Bohan joined the faculty of East Central University in August 2002 after his retirement from the U.S. Public Health Service (USPHS). During his career with the USPHS, Dr. Bohan spent 19 years with the Indian Health Service serving in White Earth, MN, Bemidji, MN, Cincinnati, OH, and Window Rock, AZ. His final seven years were spent at the National Center for Environmental Health.
Dr. Bohan is a graduate of Lehigh University. He started his public health career in 1971 with the New Haven, CT Health Department before being commissioned in the U.S. Public Health Service in 1976. Dr. Bohan holds a Master’s Degree in Environmental Health Science from the University of Rhode Island, a Master’s Degree in Industrial Hygiene from the University of Cincinnati and a PhD in Occupational and Environmental Health from the University of Oklahoma Health Science Center College of Public Health. Dr. Bohan is a registered sanitarian with the State of Connecticut and is a Diplomate in the American Academy of Sanitarians.
