Biographical Sketch: Professor Michael Reilly is the assistant director of the Center for Disaster Medicine and Director of the graduate program in emergency preparedness at New York Medical College.
He has over a decade of multidisciplinary experience in emergency preparedness, public safety, public health and emergency management both as a disaster researcher and first responder. He has been a Senior Lecturer for multiple Federal Agencies on Medical Counterterrorism including (FEMA, the Departments of Justice, Homeland Security and OSHA). Additionally, he is an active member of several State and National committees on homeland security and emergency management programs.
Prof. Reilly has been an invited speaker at numerous conferences both nationally and internationally and has several publications in the areas of public health and health system emergency preparedness. Additionally, he has recently completed work on a textbook being released in early 2010 by Jones & Bartlett Publishers, titled Healthcare Emergency Management: Principles and Practice.
