Biographical Sketch: Dr. Phillips received her M.P.H. and Ph.D. from the Johns Hopkins School of Public Health. She is Director of Research at the International Healthcare Workers Safety Center at the University of Virginia. Her areas of research include the impact of U.S. legislative mandates on healthcare worker blood exposure risk, and she is developing low cost strategies to bring the lessons of the U.S. experience to resource-limited countries.
