Biographical Sketch: Nurse Rosie is currently a graduate student pursuing her dual master’s degree in nursing and public health from California State University, Long Beach. She works full-time as a Public Health Nurse for the Los Angeles County Public Health Department. Recently she has conducted health education for pregnant and parenting female offenders who've been court ordered to an alternative sentencing program in Los Angeles County. It is here that she has worked with staff to develop and implement a series of short health promotion and disease prevention modules to empower participants to make better life choices upon re-entry into society.
