Biographical Sketch: Dr. Laura Salazar is an Assistant Professor in Behavioral Sciences at the Rollins School of Public health, at Emory University. She earned her PhD in Community Psychology from Georgia State University’s Department of Psychology. Her areas of research interest are in the sexual health of adolescents and adults, who are at heightened risk for HIV. She is particularly interested in the intersection of the STI/HIV and gender-based violence epidemics. Her current research projects include, “Preventing Violence Against Women: A Web-based Approach,” (CDC) and “National HIV Behavioral Surveillance” (CDC).
