Biographical Sketch:
Amy E. Wallace, MD, MPH Dr. Wallace is Senior Scholar for the Veterans Rural Health Resource Center—Eastern Region in White River Junction, VT and Associate Professor of Psychiatry at Dartmouth Medical School in Hanover, NH. Among other areas of interest, Dr. Wallace research examines rural veterans’ health and healthcare disparities. She was recognized by the National Rural Health Association as a Rural Health Fellow. Dr. Wallace received her bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and Chemistry from Willamette University in Salem, Oregon, her medical degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, TX, and her masters of public health from Dartmouth College in Hanover, NH. She completed her adult psychiatry residency, and child/adolescent and consultation/liaison psychiatry fellowships at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH. Before turning her attention to research as a VA HSR&D Career Development Awardee in 2006, she served as director of Substance Abuse Treatment Services at the WRJ VAMC and as chief of Psychiatry at the Manchester VAMC.
