Biographical Sketch: Marianne Sullivan recently received her DrPH in Sociomedical Sciences from Columbia University. She is currently finishing a book manuscript, tentatively entitled Tainted Earth which explores community environmental disasters related to lead and copper smelting in the United States in the 20th Century, and the public health and industry response. She is currently an Assistant Professor in Community Health at Hofstra University on Long Island, outside of New York City.
