Biographical Sketch:
Scyatta A. Wallace, Ph.D. Dr. Wallace received her doctorate in Developmental Psychology from Fordham University and her BA in Psychology from Yale University. Dr. Wallace is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Psychology at St. John’s University. She is a principal investigator of the Brothers Encouraged to Access Testing Services (BEATS) project a 4-year study funded by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Her research interests include examining contextual and cultural influences associated with HIV risk among Black adolescents and young adults. Dr. Wallace is currently the chair elect of the American Psychological Association Committee of Psychology and AIDS. Y. Marcia Glasgow Ms. Glasgow is a graduate of New York University with a Master’s in Public Health. She also holds a Bachelors of Science in Biology from the University of Western Ontario (Canada). Ms. Glasgow is currently the Project Director at St. John's University for the Brothers Encouraged to Access Testing Services (BEATS) project. She is currently a member of the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene’s HIV Planning Prevention work group for individuals involved with the criminal justice system. Sean ‘Dino’ Johnson Sean ‘Dino’ Johnson is the Director of Program Marketing for Council for Unity- a national youth violence prevention initiative. Mr. Johnson is a former gang member and was previously incarcerated. He is community activist, leader and performing artist. Mr. Johnson has been a member of the Brothers Encouraged to Access Testing Services (BEATS) community advisory board since its inception in 2008.
