Biographical Sketch:
Dr. Eng is Assistant Professor in the Division of Community, Environment and Policy and Director of the Southwest Border Rural Health Research Center, Arizona Rural Heath Office in the Mel and Enid Zuckerman College of Public Health, University of Arizona. He has more than 35 years of experience in health care. He has been a faculty member in the Colleges of Pharmacy, Medicine, and Public Health. Dr. Eng’s training and expertise includes health services and policy research, health economics, epidemiology, public health, border health, rural health, and pharmacy. He has given “Asian American and Pacific Islander Health” presentations to university undergraduate/graduate students, medical residents/fellows, and community groups. Dr. Eng is the founder and co-chair of the Southern Arizona Asian and Pacific Islander Health Coalition. He is a recipient of the University of Arizona Asian American Faculty, Staff and Alumni Association 2009 Outstanding Faculty Award.
