Biographical Sketch: Deborah Messecar is an associate professor of nursing at Oregon Health & Science University in Portland Oregon. She is the Track Coordinator for the School of Nursings Primary Health Care and Health Disparities track in the Oregon Master of Public Health program. She has a PHD in Nursing and an MPH in Epidemiology and Biostatistics from OHSU. Her research focuses on military families and their responses to stress from wartime separation and deployment.
