Biographical Sketch:
Silvia Inéz Salazar, currently works as a Public Health Advisor in the office of Market Research and Evaluation at the National Cancer Institute (NCI), National Institutes of Health (NIH). She leads research on developing and evaluating cancer education programs for diverse audiences affected by cancer. Ms. Salazar has also conducted usability studies and user research on designing and developing cancer education websites for English and Spanish-speaking populations in the US. She conducted formative user-research on NCI’s Spanish language website Cancer.gov/espańol (www.cancer.gov/espanol). In addition, she has evaluated educational programs targeting Latinos for various diseases such as diabetes at the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK), and HIV-AIDS at the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA).
