Biographical Sketch: Nancy R. Mudrick, Ph.D., M.S.W., is Professor in the School of Social Work, College of Human Ecology at Syracuse University. Her Ph.D. is in social policy from the Florence Heller School for Advanced Studies in Social Welfare, Brandeis University. She teaches courses in U.S. social welfare policy, mental health policy, and program evaluation. Her research focuses on disability policy, in the areas of civil rights, health, employment and child welfare. Over the past decade, she has worked with the Disability Rights Education and Defense Fund (DREDF) on several projects, among them the current project and the recent NCD report on the Current State of Healthcare for Americans with disabilities.
