4197.0 Building the Next Generation of Ethnically Diverse Public Health Leaders

Tuesday, November 6, 2007: 2:30 PM
Oral
This session will examine how national demographic changes in population are affecting public health and how we can develop a diverse cadre of leaders to meet the challenges of the future. A three member guest panel will share stories and expert advice about the ways in which the public health leaders of today can help develop the next generation of minority health leaders. After audience questions and discussion, two discussants from the National Public Health Leadership Development Network (NLN) will close with a brief reflection on the meaning of the dialogue to their regional public health leadership institute.
