Papa Ola Lokahi utilizes the outrigger canoe as an indigenous model of healthcare for Native Hawaiians. This session will describe efforts to strengthen the Native Hawaiian community by increasing the number of Native Hawaiian health professionals, addressing issues related to research, and developing indigenous researchers.
