The Caucus invites abstracts for papers on current issues in refugee, immigrant and migrant health in the US and internationally. The Caucus is particularly interested in topics such as:
- Continuity of care for immigrant, migrant and transient populations
- Global migration and human rights, including human trafficking domestically and abroad
- Immigrant women’s health (e.g. access to contraception, intimate partner violence, access to social support)
- Innovative health interventions addressing the increasing prevalence of chronic disease (e.g., diabetes and obesity)
- Life-cycle perspectives including immigrant aging
- Provision of quality and culturally sensitive health care for refugees and immigrants
- US immigration policy, universal Health Insurance and impact on immigrants’ access to care
We are particularly interested in abstracts that address immigration to new geographic areas and local responses and that provide comparative data across various immigrant and refugee groups. Special Instructions to Authors: Limit abstract to 250 words. Deadline for submissions: February 13, 2008
