Who we elect for President on November 4, and the make-up of the 111th Congress, will greatly impact the future of Social Security and Medicare. In general, Democrats support our two most successful social insurance programs and want to strengthen them for future generations. Republicans support privatizing Social Security, and they have already started the privatization of Medicare with passage of the Medicare Modernization Act in 2003. Come hear from the experts about what is in store for Social Security and Medicare in 2009 when we will have a new President and a new Congress.
