187315 Epidemiology for Non-Epidemiologists: Pretest , course overview and introduction to epidemiologySaturday, October 25, 2008: 9:00 AM
On the first day, participants will learn about tools needed to describe prevention, transmission, morbidity, mortality, screening, reliability, validity, person years and prognosis for their community practice.
Interactive class-room lecture style short presentations and small group discussions (4-6 per group) will be augmented by very popular “pop-quizzes” and “scenario analysis (a.k.a case studies)” within and between concepts. Bring your calculators.
