A key training goal of the “Ask,Consult” program is to improve the pharmacist's knowledge of family health topics so they can provide adequate counsel to families unable or unwilling to see a doctor. Additionally, it is also the goal of the program to nurture and sustain the growth of this network of pharmacists so they continue to work together. Now the "Ask,Consult" Program, with the cooperation of the Egyptian Pharmacist Syndicate and other USAID sponsored projects, has created an educational program that provides pharmacists with the support they need to respond to client inquiries regarding their health. This web-based program includes a complete Learning Management System to deliver realistic scenario-based educational content. Additionally, the AC program will expand to include a consumer health web site which will be linked to health kiosks which will deliver health information to pharmacies for review by Egyptians who do not have web access.
