This session will describe the results of the AAHE/SOPHE multi-year effort to outline the profession-wide efforts to develop a coordinated accreditation system for the health education profession. This session will highlight the lessons learned in the effort from point of view of school health education preparation programs, including the role of NCATE, SABPAC and other school accreditation agencies. These include the need for graduate accreditation processes and articulation agreements between undergraduate and graduate level course work.
