This session will focus on educating participants to differentiate between continuing education courses for APHA's Learning Intsitute consideration and APHA's scientific Sessions. Additionally, participants will become engaged in the process for developing, submitting, and providing a course under the Learning Institute.

Learning Objectives:
Identify and discuss examples of successful learning institute course offerings. Discuss the process of developing learning objectives.

Qualified on the content I am responsible for because: of my academic preparation to include a BS Degree; a MHA Degree; and a DrPH Degree. Additionally, I have served for more than 25 years as a program director of two graduate degree programs (MHA and MPH); as department chairman of epidemiology and community health in a school of medicine and program director of health administration (Baylor University and at VCU/MCV) for more than 15 years; as an associate vice president for public health concurrently at VCU/MCV for more than five years; and as chairman of the Virginia Board of Health for five years.
