Participants will discuss core tenets of organizational and service systems design to enhance trauma-informed practices using a public health approach. The presenters will explore strategies for working within a cultural framework that facilitates recovery and healing across the spectrum of health and mental health disorders. Participants will then learn about applications of these approaches to crisis response and other urgent situations. Finally, participants will learn methods to plan strategically and design approaches for receiving technical assistance to integrate trauma-informed care within their agencies and to collaborate with other stakeholders.

Presenting author's disclosure statement:Qualified on the content I am responsible for because: My lived experience reflects my expertise in the subject of trauma. I have numerous years of working the the public mental health system as an advocate, system developer and policy maker. Currently my duties invovle the management of the CMHS National Center for Trauma Informed Care, and other duties related to mental heatlh tranformation. I am also the author of several documents that foster recovery and resiliecne for mental health issues.
