The movement for single payer national health care focuses

almost exclusively on how health care will be paid for. But health

and health care are far larger issues than simply financing. This

presentation will describe single payer national health insurance as

but a platform for creating the possibility of equity and justice in

health care, and will detail the myriad issues to be taken up once

the nation has achieved an equitable financing mechanism.
