Biographical Sketch:
Christine Markham, PhD., is Deputy Director of the University of Texas Prevention Research Center and Assistant Professor of Health Promotion and Behavioral Sciences at the University of Texas School of Public Health in Houston, TX. She has over 17 years’ experience in child and adolescent health promotion programming, including family- and school-based programs. Her research focuses on the development of theory- and evidence-based approaches to program development, implementation, evaluation, and dissemination. Dr. Markham received her doctoral degree in Behavioral Sciences from the University of Texas and her Masters degree in anthropology from the University of Pennsylvania.
