Biographical Sketch:
Dr. Patricia Y. Miranda is Assistant Professor of Health Policy and Administration at The Pennsylvania State University. She was a part of the 2008-2010 Kellogg Health Scholar Postdoctoral Fellowship cohort at The University of Texas M. D. Anderson Cancer Center, Center for Research on Minority Health, and earned both her PhD and MPH from the University of Michigan School of Public Health. Dr. Miranda’s research interests focus on the relationship between place and health disparities, specifically among Latino and immigrant populations, understanding the contribution of sociopolitical context to within-group differences among Latino populations, and using a community-based participatory research approach to population health to create multilevel national, regional and local Latino health agendas and policy.
