Biographical Sketch: DeAnne K. Hilfinger Messias is Professor, College of Nursing and Women’s and Gender Studies, at the University of South Carolina. She is a community health nurse educator and researcher. Much of her research focuses on language access issues, immigrant health, and community-based research among Latinas.
