Biographical Sketch: David J. Reynen, MPPA, MPH, CPH is a Research Scientist III in the Chronic Disease Control Branch (CDCB) of the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) in Sacramento. His current work in the CDCB, where he’s been for over seven years, entails conducting heart disease, stroke, and heart failure related surveillance and research, as a member of the California Heart Disease and Stroke Prevention Program. Prior to being in the CDCB, Mr. Reynen spent five years with the Maternal and Child Health Branch, almost two years with the Cancer Control Branch, and one year with the California Epidemiologic Investigation Service, all part of the CDPH.
