Biographical Sketch: Dr. Michael Siegel is a Professor in the Department of Community Health Sciences at the Boston University School of Public Health. Much of his research has focused on cigarette advertising and its impact on youth smoking. Currently, he is applying some of the same techniques he helped develop to study cigarette advertising to the area of alcohol advertising. His current work in alcohol research concerns the relationship between brand-specific alcohol advertising and brand-specific alcohol consumption among underage youth.
