Biographical Sketch:
Tammy Thomas is an instructor and serves as the Coordinator of Community Programs at the University of Pittsburgh, Graduate School of Public Health in the Department of Behavior and Community Health Sciences. She is also a doctoral student and adjunct faculty at the School of Social Work at the University of Pittsburgh. Her research has focused on maternal and child health issues, health communication and the use of qualitative research methods. She is also interested in the training of Public Health Social Work students. Brenda Henry is a Project Coordinator in the Center for Research on Heath Care within the School of Medicine at the University of Pittsburgh. She is a student in the Graduate School of Public Health. Her research interests have focused on maternal child health issues, health disparity and AIDS-related provider discrimination. She has an avid interest in the training of Public Health Social Work students. Most recently she was a teaching fellow for the Center on Instructional Design and Distance Education also at the University of Pittsburgh.
