Biographical Sketch:
Paula Schenck is part of the Center for Indoor Environments and Health at the UConn Health Center. She teaches regularly on environmental health/air quality in the MPH program, is a seminar leader on asthma and the environment, and coordinates the Principles of Clinical Medicine segment on occupational health in the medical school. With support from the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), she developed an online continuing medical education program and held national workshops for health providers and public health personnel on mold and moisture in the environment. She recently completed a review for EPA, entitled Climate Change, Indoor Air Quality and Health, that addressed effects of energy efficient measures on indoor air quality, specifically identifying unintended consequences that would likely be born by vulnerable and socio-economically disadvantaged populations.
