Biographical Sketch: Susan J. Zahner, DrPH, RN, is an Associate Professor at the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Nursing with an affiliate appointment in the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. Dr. Zahner conducts research in local public health system performance. Dr. Zahner is the Project Director of the LEAP Project, a federally funded project aimed at linking educators and practicing public health nurses to improve preparation for public health nursing practice. Dr. Zahner teaches health program planning, evaluation, and quality improvement at the graduate level and is the Chair of the Board of Health for Madison and Dane County, Wisconsin.
