Biographical Sketch: Eddy Jara is an Assistant Professor in the Departments of Global Health and Nutrition in the Loma Linda University School of Public Health. He has a broad background in community-based obesity prevention interventions and research looking at how to disseminate promising school food practices in working class communities of color. He has managed projects (e.g. staffing, evaluation research design, staff training, budget) and collaborated with community partners in producing several publications target to practitioners. Eddy is bicultural Colombian American and bilingual in Spanish and English.
