Biographical Sketch:
Bahby Banks is a Doctoral Candidate in the Department of Health Behavior and Health Education at the University of North Carolina Gillings School of Global Public Health. She received her Masters of Public Health from Boston University School of Public Health, and her Bachelor’s of Science in Biology from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University. Ms. Banks’ research interests include health disparities, HIV/AIDS in rural communities, social marketing, and program evaluation. Her current research investigates factors that influence minority participation in clinical trial research. Ms. Banks’ previous research has included work in Brazil, Argentina, Switzerland, and Malawi. Her most recent honors include being selected as a Houle Engaged Scholar and an Emerging Leader in Public Health Fellow.
