Biographical Sketch: Dr. Garcia is an Assistant Professor of Public Health in the Department of Health Sciences at University of Alaska Anchorage. He received his Ph.D. in Public Health with a minor in Anthropology at UCLA. His research interests include health promotion and disease prevention, chronic diseases, health risk behaviors, and ethnic health disparities.
